Some useful tools are included in the FreeMiNT archive.

  • TosWin2 - terminal emulator and console. You need this to run run text-only programs (TOS, TTP) in GEM windows.
  • Fsetter - filesystem settings.
  • GlueSTiK - STiK/STiNG emulation layer for MiNTnet.
  • mgw - Draconis emulation layer for MiNTnet.
  • lpflush - clears the /dev/lp buffer
  • mkfatfs - initialize FAT/FAT32 partitions.
  • mke2fs - initialize ext2 partitions.
  • minit - initialize minix partitions.
  • mktbl - create keyboard layout files.
  • sysctl - configure kernel parameters at runtime
  • ifconfig - configure network interface.
  • route - manipulate network routing tables.
