@okraits, I have looked at this a bit and think I have figured out the second issue.
What do you think should happen if there is nothing to show? Should a Menu open just saying "Empty"? I think this is just a side effect of that it is probably better for a Menu to open vs do nothing in the case there is nothing to show.

The default-config MenuStyle ItemFormat only included a single column, which would cause issues with WindowList. The WindowList would not show geometries or window names if certain options were provided. This adds all three columns back to the ItemFormat so WindowList and other Menus which use more than three columns will display the desired information. Fixes #151
