What is the error? Is it code completion? Syntax highlighting Debugging? What? It is not clear to me what is not working 🙁 The plugin provides quite a few features.

If it is general functionality like completion, signature help etc.... Is there any logs in your output? In VSCode you will find them at the bottom where you find other outputs and terminal:

Is this a Kotlin Multiplatform project? The language server, and probably the debug adapter, have problems with those. There are some known issues that might help you slightly: fwcd/kotlin-language-server#376
