Doesn't work for:

  • vim ~/.vimrc
  • vim + <Leader>ev
  • vim Gemfile

Seems to be somehow totally broken? Must be some weird plugin interaction.

It works on my home computer...

My ~/.viminfo file was owned by root, so Vim wasn't retaining any information like its last cursor position or command history. chowning it fixed it.
