JES no longer launches #135

What operating system are you using, and which version of JES?
I most often see that kind of behavior (splash screen comes up and then JES
crashes) when there's a disconnect with Java. Did you install a Java
update during that time?

Oh sorry, forgot to add that bit. I am on Windows 10, and the latest version of JES. Disconnect with Java sounds likely, I very well may have installed a new version of java in the past month. How would I remedy that? |
Welp, I've managed to get it to work by getting the java-included .zip file. |
That's great to hear! Thanks for letting me know. Yes, my guess is that
you ended up upgrading to a version of Java that's incompatible with Jython.

I have been using this version of JES for a bit now, and only just now, the splash screen pops up but the program does not open truly. The last time I used it was the beginning of last month, no updates to JES since, and uninstalling and reinstalling did not help.
