The mapnik-server requires:

a configuration file for the backend vectortile-server
review of http param handling to verify all get passed through
modification of how the .png is replaced by .mvt (does not handle params)
removal of all tests hex versions etc.
update to the README

Further tidy up can be done by @MortenHofft who has briefly reviewed this and confirmed the approach is ok for now.
