Arrow keys to control playback #253
Comments
Mapping +/- to adjust playback speed and PgUp/PgDn to navigating chapters would also seem intuitive though these aren't features that I personally use enough to care about. |
Thanks for your request :) More and customizable hotkeys are a feature that would be quite useful. The current focus is on improving stability and media support tough. It might take some time for this to be implemented. |
It will be really nice to add hotkeys to skip forward 30sec, backward 10 sec, etc. Thanks for your hard work! |
Adding to this: I think it would be sensible to copy video players like VLC and others when it comes to skipping back and forward, that is: just arrow is a medium skip, Alt + Arrow is a short one, and Shift + arrow is a very short one. VLC also have Ctrl + Alt + arrow as a longer skip, I'm not sure how common that is, but seems useful. But at least skipping at all with the arrow keys is my number 1 wish for Cozy right now. Thanks for a great application! |
For those of us who lack media keys on our keyboards, it'd be really useful if the arrow keys could be mapped to volume up/down; skip backwards/forwards (as is pretty standard in media players). Currently (0.6.14;Ubuntu;Flatpak) these only do anything if the relevant widget has focus.
