Having such makes it annoying to build .debs on systems with newer versions of boost.

Resolved in tag v1.6.5. We're linking boost statically now. Part of the motivation for doing this is because the boost::iostreams code on TGI's platform of choice for dealing with gzipped files was incompatible with bgzip. The latest version of boost includes my patch to fix this, so we'll probably start linking that statically soon (+1 build dependency, -1 runtime dependency).

Also, we hope to release the JoinX 1.6 series to the public soon but 1.5 is still the latest public series.
