Start here: try Hardcount, then tell us where you got stuck

Hardcount is an open-source billing engine for usage-based and AI products: pricing, subscriptions, usage metering, invoices, credits, and failed-payment retries, with Stripe running the card charge underneath.

Try it. You need Docker and git (on Windows, use WSL):

The demo sends some AI token usage, moves a test customer forward a month, and shows the invoice and your margin on it.

Then tell us in a reply where you got stuck, what confused you, or what you expected that wasn't there. Hardcount is pre-1.0 and we're changing things quickly based on exactly this.
