On January 8, 2024, we will turn off Subversion support in GitHub.com. We will also turn off Subversion support in the first GitHub Enterprise Server release after January 8, 2024.
Intended Outcome
Subversion support is little-used by customers (in aggregate) but represents an above-average ongoing support and maintenance burden. Removing it will free up resources to focus on features and support more relevant to the vast majority of our customers.
How will it work?
After a few brownouts, we will remove the code which powers Subversion support.
