Gate FIPS 140 support behind a feature-flag
#26734
We're aware that this is an unsupported installation method and make sure that issues we encounter are not related to our packaging before reaching out to you.
Today I'm deviating from this to request a small change that would make our lives much easier. To be clear, I'm open to send a PR for this myself, I'm just making sure that there's interest in accepting such a change first.
Right now we're about to patch out fips140 support (nix-community/authentik-nix#196) as that's (1) an enterprise feature as far as I understand it which we don't support and (2) the underlying Rust library for this is quite painful to maintain and broke arm64 support for us.
Would you be open to accept a PR that gates this behind a feature-flag in your Cargo.toml? The feature-flag can even be turned on by default and that would prevent us from carrying around downstream patches forever.

Hi!
Thanks a lot for your work on Authentik!
I'm maintaining a downstream packaging of it at https://github.com/nix-community/authentik-nix .
