Relates to #468 (comment)

The PubSub team would prefer that we do not provide this option.

  • Tests and linter pass
  • Code coverage does not decrease (if any source code was changed)
  • Appropriate docs were updated (if necessary)

Do I gather that pullTimeout was added in an attempt to address a specific user's problem, and it ultimately wasn't needed?
