not working on sony bravia

after installing the apk on my new bravia tv (android 6),
in the live channel app i get a message "No channels added"?

while i can see my channel on the streaming channels

any idea?

Seems to be the same issue. Why does Google not test these official samples on real TVs?

When I built this I tested on many devices including Sony TV's and it worked perfectly. If there is an issue with the searchable field on Sony TVs then it seems like there's a wider problem with implementation than there should be.
