uBlock Origin 1.0.0.1 hangs Firefox when opening planet.mozilla.org #629
Comments
no problems here loading the page, Nightly and Beta. |
no problems here. Using Medium blocking mode. |
Hmm, might be exacerbated by my slow connection (am on vacation and latencies are very high). |
You will have to make the case that uBlock is the issue. See CONTRIBUTING. |
On first try, it hung, and I had to force close the browser, on second try, it loaded instantly. |
is it on v1.0.0.1 or v1.1.0.0 |
v1.1.0.0 b6 from AMO. |
I don't even know what "hangs" exactly mean in the current context. Please, do not hold on explaining exactly, in details anything, I won't spend time guessing what is an issue. I can't think of any other way to emphasize more than what is in there. Also, I should not have to ask for settings, CONTRIBUTING already says clearly that any settings different than defaults MUST be provided. |
Using the browser console, I don't see anything special, only it sometimes takes quite an amount of response times for certain images there, so in my case, I don't really think uBlockO has anything to blame, might be pure coincidence. EDIT: Perhaps the OP loaded up the site for the first time using uBlockO, switched uBlockO off, and releaded. Revisiting the site without clearing the browser cache loads instantly, i think it's solely the crappy response times of the image servers. |
An example of bad information:
Just spell out the exact build (ex: |

uBlock is causing the browser to hang (whether e10s is enabled or not) when loading this page. Doesn't happen when loading the page from a local file, so is probably a network issue (I am on a fairly slow network).
I can send you my config file if needed.
This is with the latest win32 nightly build on Win8.1 64bit.
