Using Michellin tyre data, we can use following reference later to modify the CAD according to selected tyre specs- Michelin tyre spec data

Upcoming parts (staged):

  1. Rim
  2. Tyre
  3. Tyre assembly

Looks good! You're getting the hang of FreeCAD now.
The holes in the support disc and the mounting holes in the rim do not allign, but that's because they still need be modified to the tyre specs anyway, right?

also, I don't think that FreeCAD supports something like equal spacing in an offset right now. I've tried several things, but it has to be done the uneasy way.

offset
Vinay sketched this profile for the support disc of the rims, probably by sketching one set of lines (left) and copying it (to the right). Then to create the offset he had to add all these 3.5 mm distance constraints between points and lines.

We wonder if there isn't a way to copy one of these sets of lines and set the distance (3.5 mm) once and make the program automatically space the two sets of lines at 3,5 mm from eachother everywhere.
If we ever want to make more complex shapes or change this distance a couple of times, such a feature would save a lot of time.
