Firmware Compatibility for Wyze Cameras:

Below is a table showing the firmware versions that are compatible with different Wyze camera models, along with specific notes for each:

Notes:

1. Firmware versions newer than 4.36.9.139 for V3 and Floodlight: Versions beyond 4.36.9.139 support rooting the device, which includes access to a root shell and SSHD. However, libcallback features, such as: RTSP video streaming, and cmd commands are all not available.
2. Latest Firmware for V2 and Pan: Firmware versions beyond 4.9.8.1002/4.10.8.1002 are compatible but do not support audio via RTSP streaming. Resolution for this issue is pending in fixes #347.

Firmware may generally be downgraded, regardless of the firmware the device ships with.

Keep in mind that firmware updates can change compatibility. It's good practice to generally check back often for the latest information and guidance before proceeding with any modifications or installations.
