Currently, spade PC builds builds are dependent on CoreAudio to emulate sound, which is an API exclusive to MacOS. This limits testing of audio to Apple computers, when windows & linux-based machines should also be capable of testing spade audio.
Note - copied from @Sheepy3 's original, just relocated here to keep things organized.

How about the PortAudio API?

This would be very useful because I'm trying to adjust the audio code to get notes more in tune
