The message appearing on the screen is: "Verification failed: (0x1A) Security Violation" |
It could be an error message of the MOKManager. see https://github.com/hakuna-m/wubiuefi/wiki/MOKManager#import-a-mok

Hi,
thank you very much! I finally found the time to try installing
wubi. I went through the steps indicated in the link you sent but on the
final <reboot> (still without installing the ubuntu files) I was sent to
GRUB with the following message: "GNU GRUB version 2.04 ..... grub>
on rebooting I was gracefully sent back to Win10. So, what is still wrong?
Best, Dieter

I have been using Wubi since Ubuntu-10.04 successfully and happily on various brands of laptops and desktops. I recently purchased a ZBook from HP running Win10 and tried installing Wubi following the usual procedure. However, I get a number of error and warning messages apparently because of security issues. This made me very much afraid of crashing the system when continuing. I am wondering whether anybody has successfully installed Wubi on such a system and would give me hints as to how to proceed. If not, I'd like to post photographs of the messages appearing on the screen and ask for help again. Thanks, D.
