fgl specifies hspec <2.4, but the current platform uses hspec =2.4 and jailbreaking fgl succeeds.

The Haskell Platform doesn't use hspec, so this isn't a problem from that PoV.

Not sure what you mean by "jailbreaking".

jailbreak is how NixPkgs Haskell packaging calls the script that removes the version restrictions.
