Hello,
Thank for you all of your efforts!
Just a simple issue that I ran into on my ASUS E200HA running Ubuntu Mate (kernel 5.2.0) - at startup I periodically encountered a high-pitched sound at max volume. I can't reproduce it reliably but it may have happened while the sound was muted.
I seem to have fixed it (source) by editing /usr/lib/pm-utils/power.d/intel-audio-powersave, replacing:
Is this a good idea? / Would you recommend this modification?
The changes haven't hurt my overall configuration and I haven't encountered the issue since. This used to happen more frequently under Debian 10. I'll keep you posted if any further problems arise. Perhaps this fix might help someone else encountering this issue.
