I'm using 8 midi cc faders to control the relative volume of volume faders.
If I select a track and move a fader the first time, it works as intended.

Here's the issue.
If, after moving that first fader with a track selected,
I unselect the track,
then move the midi fader to a new value,
select the same or a new track,
then move the midi fader again,
then the volume fader receives the absolute cc value and not the relative one.
