Dimensions disappear

I've dimensioned various parts in my model several times and then my work disappears. Possibly when I save and re-open the workspace?

Why not allow dimensions to be kept with a model and allow them to be hidden if you want to remove them from a view?

@LarryRB thank you, this is not a bug on your side but how it works today: the tape measure is not saved with the design, so its measurements go when you reload the page or reopen the design. The framing square is kept with the design, and so are notes and reference points. Keeping the measurements of the tape measure with the model, and being able to hide them, is a good wish, and I have noted it. If you tell me which tool you used (the tape measure with its buttons, or the numbers that appear beside a selected shape), I can tell you what stays and what does not.

Ahh.. I now see the "mark center". Thanks for pointing that out.

However, it appears that this only allows marking the top face of an object. It would be nice to be able to click the particular face to mark the center of said face. For example, if I've swung the camera to view the ends of the studs, I'd like to mark the centers of the stud ends and show the center to center distance between them. Make sense?

Think of a wall supporting a staircase. Each stud is increasing in length as you ascend the stairs. So marking the center of the face of each stud yields a measurement on an angle of the stair incline. Normally, you'd want to be able to show the horizontal centerlines with a horizontal distance between them.

@LarryRB yes, that makes sense, and you are right: "Mark the centre" only put the point on the top face. I have built what you describe: right-click a body and choose "Mark the centre of this face", and the point lands in the middle of the flat face under the pointer, on a side or the end of a stud, say. The tape measure snaps to it like to a corner, so you can measure from one stud end to the next. For the horizontal distance, the framing square shows the distances as separate X, Y and Z numbers, so you get the horizontal one between two points instead of the slanted one. It will be in the next release.
