Verified the stack overflow worked for setting up a macintosh computer.
Brought in the quick start from usage I noticed in another project.

Happy to add any additional detail. You may want to consolidate installation process for many operating systems in a centralized repository and have all your go projects reference that repository.

Good idea to include; the stack overflow link is outdated, though. Would be better to reference the Go installation page directly: https://golang.org/doc/install

The new change contains a gist. I think this could be of use. The root gist has 275 stars, hopefully meaning continued discussion and updates. Likewise you could easily fork and maintain locally.
