untitled

Great theme. Works well with Gtk-2, but shows up dotted boxes on Gtk3 application menus. Expanding the menu shows up further dotted boxes. Am using Debian, with XFCE4.

Which version of Debian are you using?

Gtk version might be more relevant. I see the same on Linux MInt 17.1 Xfce but I'm using GTK 3.10. I assume that's why I see this too...

FWIW Debian 8, Testing and Unstable should work with the theme. Older versions are not supported.

Is there any chance that the author will consider supporting older versions? i really miss this theme on linux mint

Based on this thread (ozonos/ozon-gtk-theme#6) I set

outline-style: none;

in Arc/gtk-3.0/gtk-contained.css right at the beginning. That fixed most of them. I don't know what the side-effects of doing this might be.

Same issue on Ubuntu 14.04

14.04 has Gtk 3.10. That's the issue. The workaround I put in above should work for you too.

@dcherian Thanks. That solution worked.

For @dcherian's solution be sure to apply it in the correct folder of the theme version you're using. If you're using Arc-Dark instead of Arc for example, apply it in Arc-Dark/gtk-3.0/gtk-contained.css.

The full path would be /usr/share/themes/Arc-Dark/gtk-3.0/gtk-contained.css.

I guess this is solved then. I won't include this workaround, because it makes the focus lines invisible and it's by far not the only change needed for full GTK 3.10 compatibility.

Can you show a screenshot of what you mean by "focus lines" please?

I mean these dashed lines. They indicate focused widgets, which get activated on hitting return. I guess it's not hugely important when you don't navigate with the keyboard very often.

I actually do see those so navigation by keyboard is possible. Maybe it's not the intended style. This is a Gtk3 app that had the "dashed lines everywhere" problem.

The suggested workaround doesn't work on all gtk3 application though (for eg: eog viewer). Please do keep keybboard support including the dashed/outline lines and gtk key accelerators. Till gtk upgrade on Mint, it is Vertex then for me.

Thanks.

@dcherian That is a GTK 2 application. The GTK 2 theme is not affected by this.
