1.2 User

User intentions

Following the results from the survey, these searches will make it into the concept:

User are looking for:

  • New friends with the same gaming interests
  • A long-term serious relationship (with someone that shares gaming interests)

User searches

When looking for a relationship, the user wants these searches:

  • man looking for man, woman, both or any gender
  • woman looking for man, woman, both or any gender
  • other genders (user can specify) looking for man, woman, both or any gender

User actions

These actions are the result of the survey. Respondents were asked to choose features the app needed to function and which features were nice to have but aren't necessary for the app to function. These results were then subtracted from each other. (Chatting had 15 people saying it was necessary and 2 people that didn't so the result is 13 points). They were then ranked and put into categories:

  1. Chatting (13 points)
    • Sending and receiving pictures (0 points)
    • groupchatting (0 points)
    • Voice chat (-1 point)
    • group voicechat (-4 points)
  2. Creating a personal profile (12 points)
    • Setting privacy settings on your profile (8 points)
    • Searching profiles (6 points)
  3. Searching games (11 points) and game genres (8 points)
    • Connecting steam library (4 points)
    • Marking a game as favorite (6 points)
  4. Adding Friends (8 points)
    • creating a group (-4 points)
  5. Playing a game together (-2 points)
    • Seeing a persons availability to play a game together (-1 points)
  6. Sharing other interests besides gaming (- 2 points)
  7. Linking social media accounts (-8 points)

Less points doesn't automatically mean the feature is not requested or that it wouldn't add value to the app. It means these features could have a lower priority.
