Font rendering issue on High Sierra #75
Comments
Hi! Thank you for reporting this. Are you using a retina monitor? What resolution are you running at?
I'll have to setup a virtual machine to test this

Subject: [inket/stts] Font rendering issue on High Sierra (#75)
Menu bar app fails to render middle characters on High Sierra

In addition, fonts look choppy. Maybe something to do with font aliasing or smoothing? probably related to above

Saw the above on 1920x1080 monitor. I can double check on native macbook pro 15in display tomorrow if that would be useful |
Does MacOS change how it renders fonts depending on the display? 😲 |
Between 1x and 2x, yeah |
Hello, I just saw this issue myself today running Mojave 10.14.6 on a non-retina 27" iMac with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440. I just installed the app for the first time and the menu bar icon looked like the screenshot @yursky provided, which I thought it was odd but didn't realize wasn't intentional until I came across this issue in the repo. However looking up at the menu item now it's displaying correctly, I'm not certain when it changed but I only installed the app a few minutes ago. |
