This PR reduces the size of several test input data files. It also removes a couple of files that were unused and renames two files.
I had to change some of the tests to get them passing again. This is a pretty arduous process. It would be nice to make the tests more resilient to changes in the test data. I've worked on this a little bit where I could, but not much.
