Can I use this for snippets of text?

My users want a dropdown in the bard toolbar with snippets of text they can pick from because they are constantly copy/pasting these short snips of text from a .txt doc to the bard. Can I do something like that with pins maybe?

I guess you could. Create a Snippet pin, have a select field in the pin form that lets you pick one, and then render the appropriate text in the pin template.

But if the desired workflow is to drop in a chunk of text (as plain text) so it can then be edited in the normal way then this can't do that.

That could be done with a Field Action.
