Call recording stops if I mute call recording announcement

Hi,

Since a few days I notice calls can be recorded only if the announcement is heard.

If I tick the option to mute the announcement, call recording says failure.

Just released GoogleDialerMod v2.00. Now, since we can't silence recording announcements anymore because Google patched our hack, the "silence call recording alerts" switch is disabled if the installed Dialer version is > 94.x.

A workaround could be to use TTSLexx.

Would be nice if we could find a way to bring this to later versions, how come we haven't tried directly patching the apk itself?

This project is about phenotype db. To patch the apk, you may look to the revanced project and propose a new patch for the Google Dialer, but here it is out of scope.
(Also, patching system APKs isn't easy for the average user IMHO).

I see that makes sense, might be worth looking into it for the future though since it it seems like google might be looking to patch out these exploits to use the call recorder out of region.

To be clear, this project may die in that case and we'll move to revanced.

I see, well I made a request on the Revanced Patch Repo ReVanced/revanced-patches#1789 hopefully they can fix it by a patch.
