🌍 I am a native Spanish speaker from 🇨🇱 Chile with strong communication skills in English. I feel confident working in bilingual environments, and my proficiency in English allows me to engage effectively in both technical and professional settings.

💻 I am currently working in the Computer Science Department of the Universidad de Chile as the Head of the Software Development Area, and I also serve as a professor in the Software Engineering Postgraduate Diploma program, where I teach the Software Workshop course. This is a practical workshop in which students work on a fictitious case, applying the knowledge they have acquired throughout the entire diploma.

👨‍💻 As a Software Engineer, I bring over a decade of professional experience across technical aspects, project management, and team leadership within the field of information technologies. I am dedicated to designing and developing scalable, secure, and efficient systems, following best practices throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). My work ensures that the solutions I create are both reliable and adaptable to future growth, always with a focus on achieving goals and delivering high-quality results.

🔐 In the realm of Secure Software Development, I am committed to implementing secure coding practices that protect applications from vulnerabilities, following OWASP guidelines as well as other industry standards and tools. This ensures that the software I develop is both functional and resilient against a wide array of threats.

💾 My coding journey spans various technologies. I’ve worked on everything from web development with Django, Flask, and FastAPI, to AI and automation. While 🐍 Python is my go-to language, I have a solid background in 🧩 C++, ☕ Java, 🐘 PHP, and 🌐 JavaScript (and no, I’m definitely not ashamed of those last two! 😎). These languages built my coding muscles, and like any true coder, I’ve embraced them all—quirks, semicolons, and all the spaghetti code moments included!
