Work in progress on creating a set of default catalogs of scripts and resources for jbang.dev.
Provide a set of default catalogs of scripts and resources for jbang. Allowing easy discovery and use of scripts, applications and templates.
Anyone can contribute to the catalogs. We are looking for contributions of scripts, applications and templates.
Create a catalog using jbang init -t=jbang-catalog reponame where reponame is replaced with the name of the repo you wish to use.
Important to use that template as it setups basic testing + dependency updates to easy maintanence.
Then push that repo to your github accont and open discussion on https://github.com/orgs/jbanghub/discussions to get it copied/moved to jbanghub org.
Thats all there is to it. We’ll automate this more in future when need be.
If you have a catalog you believe is relevant/essential to have listed in the default jbang catalog list make a PR on https://github.com/jbanghub/jbang-catalog with your repository with some background info.
Make sure you use the same alias name as your repository will be available under using jbang without a catalog, i.e. https://github.com/maxandersen/jbang-catalog is by default available as maxandersen.
We generally will accept any interesting or useful catalog - we do take the liberty to prune/decline catalogs that are malicious or noisy/bad examples.
