Can't get Cloudup to work #4
Comments
Yeah I just tested Cloudup with both png and jpg files, with no luck. Turns out Cloudup doesn't like to upload files that you 'open with' Cloudup. While they have a Cmd + O shortcut it doesn't just open the file. What my plugin does it simply open the png file with the selected app, which seems to work fine on Cloud and Droplr. I will contact the Cloudup devs, and figure out what we can do. |
So I've been chatting with Cloudup, and they told me they are working to add 'Open with' uploading feature. Which would fix your problem with uploading to Cloudup. I'll keep you in the loop, but in the meantime you'll just have to keep exporting files. Sorry, |
Awesome, thanks for the heads up Jake! On 14 April 2014 08:19, Jacob Elias notifications@github.com wrote:

I've tried to install this plugin into sketch 3.0.1. today but I don't get it to work. When I click on plugins>upload and then give it a name.png it gives me no feedback, no upload and no export of the slice. Do I have to change something in the code to make it work? |
No, I've been pretty busy, and haven't gotten to updating Upload to work on Sketch 3. They changed a bunch of their API. Hopefully I will have time this weekend to push something out. |
Ok would be great! |
I just updated the plugin to support Sketch 3, sadly Cloudup still doesn't work. |
Indeed it is not working with the 3.0.1 version, but does it work with other services? |
Yeah! CloudApp and Droplr are both working. I'm sure other services are, I just don't know of them/have tested them. |
What's the status on this? |
Cloudup is still not supported. The problem is that Cloudup doesn't like to upload files that you 'open with' Cloudup. While they have a Cmd + O shortcut it doesn't just open the file. What my plugin does it simply open the png file with the selected app, which seems to work fine on Cloud and Droplr. With Finals coming up this week things are slow, but I will reach out to the Cloudup team when I get a chance. |
Just tested this again by downloading and installing the latest v2 of the plugin, then setting the preview application to "Cloudup", but get the following error message:
The document “Preview.png” could not be opened. Cloudup cannot open files in the “Portable Network Graphics image” format.
I tried changing to jpg, but got a similar message.
Hope that helps!
Chris
