Switching back to a supported audio format should direct play (ExoPlayer) #1267
Comments
I've in fact discovered that it also falls back to transcoding after changing the audio track, even if both audio tracks use the same (supported) format (e.g. AC3 5.1). |

Will check whether 10.8 fixes this, when the stable version is released, as it had fixes to partial transcoding. |
I think this got fixed somewhere along the line. It now seems to switch back to direct play when a supported audio format is chosen (I'm still on 10.7.x). |
Describe the bug
Observed:
Expected:
Preferably, this switch back would be done automatically, but allowing the user to pre-select audio/subtitle tracks before playing (as in Web), to ensure direct play, would be a viable workaround.
