Welcome to the wiki of the Node-RED Sony Audio node package for querying and controlling Sony audio devices supporting the Sony Audio Control API. This wiki provides documentation and explains the configuration of the nodes as well as utilization of input and output messages including examples.

Although the official list of devices supporting the Sony Audio Control API is rather short, actually there are a lot more devices existing which have support for the API. You can assume a device to be compatible with the API if it is listed on the page for Music Center (former Songpal) compatible devices (but there is no guarantee however).

The node collection consists of two flow nodes and one configuration node. The latter is the bridge to a Sony audio device while the other two are used to control devices, to request information from devices and to be notified about changes on devices.
