Hi,

I tested this and it is working well at my place. I use Win 10, Chrome Version 80.0.3987.163 (Official Build) (64-bit) and the latest diagrams.net online version 12.9.9

The steps I performed are:

  • open diagrams.net
  • click File > Open from > Google Drive and select the file
  • edit it and it was saved automatically (when Autosave was ticked under Extras)

When I unticked Autosave, I was still able to save changes by clicking red button "Unsaved changes. Click here to save" and File > Save

save

P.S if this doesn't help you, tell me please:

  • if we are performing the same steps
  • operating system you are using
  • diagrams.net version (under Help) cause we don't have 19.9.3. You are using diagrams.net online?
  • are there any error in a browser console when you try to save it (browser console can be opened in Chrome via Ctrl Shift J (Windows) or Cmd Option J (Mac).
  • attach images showing the issue again please

and please test with Autosave ticked under Extras.

Regards,

Hi,
I've tested this issue on two separate computers, the first one with Windows 10 Enterprise and the second one with mac OS Catalina.

On Windows

  • Saves without issues

On Mac

  • Could not save the file using the method above. I tried opening the file directly via Gdrive, and then via diagrams.net online fetching from Gdrive (on Chrome) and neither worked. I tried both the autosave (ticked and unticked) and manual save options with the same result.

Additional

  • I tried to create a new drawing by right clicking on my Gdrive via Chrome on both the windows computer and the mac computer. I was able to create the file on the windows computer, but the mac computer stays without doing anything.

OK- Now I know what the problem is.... I had a VPN on. Removing VPN it worked fine

Interesting....that solution works for me as well when I turn off the VPN on my Mac computer, but works with or without turning off the VPN on my Windows computer.

I have NordVPN on my Mac and PulseSecure on Windows.
