This study exploits the political reservation based on caste in India as a natural experiment to assess changes in overall and relative levels of child anthropometric and educational outcomes. In a broader sense, this aims to.explore the question of whether affirmative action in political participation enhances health and educational outcomes of the unprivileged castes.
