Doesn't work on OS X 10.10 Yosemite #405

Temporary workaround: Go into System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy. Select Accessibility from the side menu and remove "Slate" from the right pane. Close and re-open slate. In the right pane, re-enable Slate to have access to Accessibility features. |
That worked! Thanks! |
I appreciate the temporary workaround, thanks a lot. Totally made my mac usable again :) |
Thanks! |

I am not seeing Slate listed in the apps list under Security > Accessibility. It was there before upgrading to Mavericks. |
A re-compile of Slate in Yosemite fixed this. Slate appeared back in the Accessibility app list. |
@apfritts thank you :) |
worked! sweet |
Funny. I didn't have to do anything to make it work after upgrading, It still worked. However, I don't keep it as a startup Item, I launch it manually each time depending on what presets I need (see my gist). I did apply all the Apple updates that were released yesterday to my Mavericks system before upgrading, in case that made a difference. But another unexpected occurrence was that I don't see it in the Accessibility list in Security & Privacy, and it doesn't appear there even after using the new plus button beneath the list to add it manually. So I may eventually need your fix anyway. |
Thanks! Never 'really' realized how dependent I've become of Slate until now! |
Thanks! Feel the exact same way as @mannerisms ;) |
Great work! Thanks! |
I see a strange issue after upgrade to Yosemite – |

Thanks!!! |
Nice! |
I think that Slate's Dark Mode icon is still an issue in Yosemite. Anyone else seeing sluggishness every time you move between monitors? |
it works for me 👍, quite weird! |
Awesome, worked for me also :) 👍 |

Worked for me, too. 👍 Thanks! |

Since slate seems to be abandoned project and it's likely these types of issue will continue to occur, people finding this thread might want to take a look at hammerspoon as an alternative that is still under active development. Thanks to Tristan Hume who got me onto slate, for leading me to hammerspoon too! |
Slate is still frequently crashing for me on Yosemite. Has anyone found an upgraded version? |
Thanks! 👍 |

This still happens now on OSX Catalina v10.15.5 (19F96) and this still works #405 (comment) |
Update: #405 (comment) still works for OSX Big Sur v11.2. |
