As a Bachelor of Technology graduate in Robotics and Automation from @Saintgits College of Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science student in Data Science from @IIT Madras, I have honed my skills in robotics, computer vision, and deep learning through various hands-on projects and internships.
I specialize in robotic systems with autonomous navigation, mapping, and object detection using ROS, Python, and machine learning. My projects focus on autonomous rovers and deep learning-based detection systems.
Developed an open-source autonomous rover using ROS Noetic, focusing on 2D and 3D mapping via Octomap and RTABMap. Integrated a DWA planner for path planning and a 4-wheeled rocker mechanism for stability.
Created a rover equipped with LIDAR, Kinect Sensor V1, Nvidia Jetson Nano, and Arduino Mega for autonomous navigation and mapping. Used ROS Navigation Stack, GMapping, and RTABMap for SLAM.
Designed a deep learning model using YOLOv8 for detecting potholes and sewer covers on Indian roads. Achieved 92.7% precision and 92.8% mAP, surpassing performance benchmarks of YOLOv5.
