Internal error when adding dashlet on user dashboard

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Drop "get-latest-doc-dashlet.jar" into alfresco_hom/tomcat/shared/lib
2. Start Alfresco and log in
3. Configure user dashboard and add the "Get Lastest Dashlet" to the dashboard 
and save the new configuration

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When you return to the user dashboard, you have a Web Script Status 500 - 
Internal Error (freemarker.core.InvalidReferenceException - Expression 
result.nodeRef is undefined on line 58, column 67 in 
com/someco/components/dashlets/get-latest-doc.get.html.ftl)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OS : Windows 7
Web-server : Apache Tomcat 6.0.26
JVM : Java 1.6.0.27
