Tracking issue for upgrading the evdev crate when this is merged and published:
emberian/evdev#70

Since evdev-rs has published 0.6.0, which fixes the issue of #51, it should be fine to use now.

I propose to replace evdev with evdev-rs because evdev cannot get the devnode of a virtual device now or in the near future given its activity, which is needed to create a symlink.

If you agree, I can make a PR.

I agree that evdev-rs needs some dependencies to build, but we can list them in the doc, which should be enough IMHO.

Yes I think that's fine. Let's leave this issue open since if evdev adds the feature I'd like to switch back to it.
