This notebook is an introduction to two popular lexical-based sentiment analyzers, TextBlob and Vader. All sentiment analyzers have built-in biases and flaws and should be used with care and sensitivity. TextBlob and Vader have the virtue of being easy to understand in terms of how they work, and for that reason can be used to foster algorithmic literacy.
