SLS is a suite of tools for rapidly prototyping real-time 3D scanning techniques and aquiring real-time 3D data. Its basic functions include
- Viewing - In this function a user can load 3D file formats including XYZM, Holoimage, and Holovideo
- Capture - In this function a user can capture real-time 3D geometry with a variety of different cameras
- Encoding - In this function a user can encode 3D geometry from one format to another
- CMake - Used to build the build files
- Doxygen - If you want to build documentation
- GLEW - Used to load up OpenGL extensions
- QT - Used for the windowing library
- Antenna - Used for streaming captured geometry across a network
- glm - Used for matrix and vector calculations
- Lens - Used for interfacing with machine vision cameras
- Reactor - Used for writing real-time 3D scans to compressed video files
- Wrench - Used for OpenGL bindings that are compatable in immersive VR environments
Once you grab a copy of the repository, simply point your CMake source directory to Desktop/src. This will build the desktop version of SLS. The immersive client can be built by pointing the CMake source directory to Immersive/src
