TagUI Writer 1.01 : helper tool for coding (most useful commands for beginners) #188
Comments
Thanks @adegard for creating TagUI Writer tool, this looks good! I'll try it out and showcase this project on TagUI homepage readme, crediting to you and linking to your project, so that other users can benefit from what you created. Depending on the dependencies, may include the .exe into the packaged installation for Windows users' convenience. This tool will be great help when writing automation scripts 😄 @Aussiroth and @lohvht - check out this cool program from @adegard ! |
(Arnaud, I added you as assignee for this announcement thread so that people are aware of your contribution, I'll also check with you later for you to preview what to put in homepage readme) |
I'm so proud to give my contribution... thank you ! |
Hi @adegard I really like your TagUI Code Writer very much 😄 I'm thinking of making some changes on a fork with a smaller number of items on the menu. After that, I'll check with you to see if you would like me to send a PR or simply host as part of TagUI codebase, but with attributes to your repo page. |
Hi @ken sure ! you can change the Code Writer to simplify it or other things. Let me know if you want some help. I'm not full time free because we are changing now our trade marks this month, but I'm pleased to dedicate some hours if needed. Let me know how it's possibile to make new releases in future without changing download link or fork... I'm not so confident with github repository's functionalities. |
Thanks @adegard, and wish you a nice weekend! Ok I update you again :)
One way is using back the same filename for the .exe file. There is a releases tab on Github repository page, it lets you create new releases and have backups of source code and files for each release. For example, TagUI releases page - https://github.com/kelaberetiv/TagUI/releases |
Hi @adegard I looked through your source code for TagUI Writer & ScreenShoter. I decided not to make changes because if I change it will not be as good as your implementation which is designed to help new TagUI users. Above commit (co-committing with you) adds description of the 2 cool tools into TagUI homepage, and also in the tutorial which I use to conduct workshops. Below is the direct link on the TagUI homepage readme, fyi - I'll close the issue for now but lemme know if there are inputs from you! |
Hi @kensoh , thank you for sharing Tagui code Helper on GitHub
homepage.Description is OK for me. So I will update it myself in
future if necessary for issues or improvments like screenshoter inside
of it,
;-)

Hi @adegard thanks for reviewing and creating the cool tools! 😄 Feel free to send PR to make modifications to the description when there are new updates, or there is something to improve on the description - https://github.com/kelaberetiv/TagUI#tagui-writer--screenshoter |
Hi @kensoh ,
As promised in recent thread I finished to whrite the little tool to help beginners with TagUI commands using examples.
You can find a compiled version (without installing autohotkey) and the source code in this repository:
https://github.com/adegard/tagui_scripts
Please let me know if I could add something,
