The pod becomes "ready" before leader election process starts. If the operator's deployment is updated, the former pod can not be terminated before new pod running. Prior this fix, the new pod could not announce itself to be running before becomming leader first, causing deadlock. Fixes: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1714315
