Hi,

may I suggest that you move the ebuilds for ginkgocadx and amide to sci-visualization? media-gfx just doesn't seem quite like the right group for software that is used to visualize scientific and medical data.

Best,
Gert

Is there a descripton of all the usual categories? I've put these into media-gfx because it's the place where other image viewers reside.

here is a list and when you hover over the category, a description s given.

Obviously some categories overlap, but amide is one of the main tools scientist use for volume data visualization, and gingkocadx is actually a tool that is used in a medical environment, that's why I think a sci- based category would fit better.

Okay, but this will become a bit more complex, e.g. you amide ebuild doesn't use xmedcon which provides support for many file formats, and since this is not in the official archives, I'll have to add copies of the ebuilds I provided for my overlay. And you don't use repoman ...

What's about the repoman?

It's a good way to keep your ebuilds clean, see: repoman.

For the ebuilds I touch I always run it now, which means with my pull requests I will add missing parts like Changelogs and metadata.xml.
