@lanpa would you be able to merge in this PR when you get a chance?

this package gets installed as part of torch and causes a conflict with grpcio which uses protobuf 3.20.2 as the latest (and secure) version

Any progress here? This is resolves a known vulnerability: GHSA-8gq9-2x98-w8hf

@lanpa Could we please even bump to 3.20.3? (This would solve a dependency conflict I can't solve otherwise.)

@jyan33 @ringohoffman @fg91 I have updated the requirement to <=3.20.3, please have a test.
