This new feature expands the functionality of moodleoverflow with the possibility to mark several answers in a discussion as "helpful" or "solved" if wanted.

Discussion überblick

  • A new setting is added to moodleoverflow to choose if multiple marks are allowed or not. The default is not allowed (empty checkbox), so only 1 post per discussion can be marked as helpful/solved.

Settings

  • If multiple marks are allowed and a post is marked, students and teachers will be informed, that other posts can be marked too.

helpful 1 click

  • Every mark in a discussion has the same impact on the user's reputation and is equivalent to other marks

helpful 2 click

  • Of course, a single (or several) post(s) can still be helpful and solved, or helpful and not solved, or not helpful and solved :)

solved 2 clicked

  • Adding and deleting marks changes the sort order of the answer post in a discussion. The hierarchy is:
    • helpful and solved posts
    • helpful/solved posts that are preferred by the teacher (Setting status of "Display First")
    • the other marked posts
    • unmarked posts
Several posts in a category are sorted by the number of upvotes/downvotes
