I'm playing around with connecting a PS4 controller to Openbve and it improves train handling surprisingly well compared to keyboard. (little demo: https://youtu.be/2E-W98lV2iY)
However, I can't keep analog triggers I use for controls (kinda similar to pedals on Tatra trams but brakes on the right side as per Japanese standard) pressed reliably when stopped and found no way to have a keybind override a brake trigger input, so I have to keep brakes slightly pressed at stations. Think a toggleable key that "disconnects" joystick axis input or just applies max service brake regardless of joystick position could help.
Also it'd be useful for some trains to have a brake axis that excludes emergency position. (full press = max service setting instead of emergency)
