Continuous Models of Sound Inventory Evolution

The study by Moran et al. (2020) shows how sound inventory evolution can be done with continuous models. It is available here.

• list of languages with all sound inventories
• add word length
• add syllable length

@angela-mc, I have added the data now in a file with all languages. This file in cldf-structure/languages.csv should be straightforward to parse, but it has quite a few values. I would recommend to start testing only with Consonants and Vowels, but we have later more to test (I can later explain). WordLength and SyllableLength are also there, maybe we should first plot them on a map to see if there is any interesting pattern.
