what does the “#0.1” in example trees mean? #3
Comments
In tree (((A:0.5,B:0.5):1#0.1,C:1.5):1#0.2,D:2.5)#0.01, #0.01 indicates that theta = 0.01 for the root and #0.2 indicates that theta = 0.2 for the internal branch leading to the group ((A,B),C)

Hi,professor liu:
The function “sim.coaltree.sp.mu” generates a random gene tree from the species tree under the non-clock species tree model.
I'm confused “#0.1” in the example tree “ (((A:0.5,B:0.5):1#0.1,C:1.5):1#0.1,D:2.5)#0.1;)”,and when I get a certain theta value (μT/τ ), how to set it in the species tree used for simulation analysis.
Thanks for all your help!
Best wishes
